Mosques are centers of faith in cities, or of neighborhoods in cities.The construction of a new mosque makes a centre of faith emerge.

HISTORY OF THE MOSQUE

The history of the mosque dates back to 50 years when it was established by traders belonging to the traditional port of Quilon in GOD'S OWN COUNTRY, KERALA.This port town was famous for its trade relations with the Arabs,Portugese and the British.It has now developed into the city of Kollam.The mosque is ideally located at High School Junction at the heart of Kollam City with frontage to National Highway - 47 and Inshah Allah it will be a blessing to all believers travelling from trivandrum towards north.

AFFILIATION The mosque is affiliated to Jonakapuram Valiyapalli Muslim Jama-ath.
RECONSTRUCTION The mosque was built in 5 cents of land with laterite stones and tiled roofing.When part of the property was acquired by the Government of kerala for NH-47,we were forced to rebuild the mosque on the remaining land and 2 cents donated by a believer, ALHAMDHU-LILLAH . FUND The structure of the mosque is being completed with funds raised from the voluntary donors of Kollam. Now to complete the mosque, the Construction Committee is desperately in need of a fund of 12 lakhs from our brothers and sisters in faith.	ARCHITECT The architect of the mosque is Janab SALI,from Allepey District in Kerala, who is a renowned architect for the past 35 years.
